Well, with one exception — the shoddy matchmaking system that continually fails to pit players against similarly skilled players. The good news is that thanks to an update, that’s gonna start changing. Here’s what the new matchmaking update brings: Searching for teammates and opponents will now sometimes take more time to look for players that are a good skill level match, rather than purely prioritizing speed over quality. This will give us more time to build better teams and create closer games that are worth staying in for a longer period of time. Rather than playing against the same opponents over and over, the game will periodically split the teams apart and search for new opponents for each team. This means if one team is dominating, we will update the skill for all of the players and then find each team a better suited match for the next round. Did you lose to a really great team? We’ll make them disappear and replace them with a new opposing team – and they will have no idea that you just got your butts kicked.

Over on the official blog , Respawn has confirmed just how the old matchmaking system worked and what improvements are in the beta and will eventually appear for the game. Currently, the system places a bigger emphasis on the speed, meaning players have a great connection between them and the server will be placed in a match, while their skill and rank don’t factor in all that much.
The new improved matchmaking, however, will focus on the aforementioned skill and rank, instead of connection speed. As such, expect to wait a bit longer before entering a game lobby, but you will get opponents and teammates of similar value. In order to keep things exciting, the new system also rotates and splits teams so that new players are added into the mix, especially when one group is dominating the other.
This means if one team is dominating, we will update the skill for all of the players and then find each team a better suited match for the next round,” Respawn said.

This is a bad experience for the user, and so we had to look at how we fix it. Our first step was removing playlists that were effectively broken. It is also mentioned that Respawn is working on new modes and variations of existing modes. Hopefully these will also be as much fun as Capture the Flag. Xbox One Servers ‘Essential’ For Titanfall Resolution And AI

Apart from a brief server outage last Tuesday, and an issue with Australian servers in particular, Titanfall appears to be humming along on both PC and Xbox One.
Servers for both versions went down during the afternoon on March 25, apparently as the result of broader problems with Xbox Live. Servers were back online that evening. Meanwhile, Australian players encountered an issue in which servers would return a ping of -1, making them unusable. The problem was “sporadic,” and it was corrected as of March 31, according to official Titanfall Twitter account. Joystiq staff members have been playing both versions with no significant problems to report.
In other service news, Respawn is working on an update to Titanfall’s matchmaking to keep weaker teams from being consistently dominated by stronger teams.
